Headaches

Hi everyone,

I’m here today to talk to you about something that plagues far too many of us, far too often. Headaches.

In my 20 years of practice, I’ve seen more people than I can count suffering from chronic headaches. A pounding headache can really ruin a person’s day, making it very difficult to concentrate at work and enjoy one’s downtime at home. The great news is that there are many safe and easy options to help treat and prevent them.

Here are a few ideas:

1. Get adjusted. Research shows that a substantial number of headaches are actually coming from your neck. Tight muscles and misaligned bones can easily refer pain up to any part of your head.

2. Stay hydrated. Many people get so busy, they lose track of the body’s thirst signals. Many experts recommend drinking half of your body weight in ounces of fluid. I know that seems like a lot, but trust me, once you commit to it, it’s really pretty easy.

3. Relax. Take time every hour to take a few deep breaths, stretch your body, and keep things in perspective.

4. Sleep right. Find a pillow that supports your neck and keeps it aligned with your spine, and NEVER sleep on your stomach!

Above all, remember that using drugs should be your last resort. There is no such thing as a medication that doesn’t have side effects and risks!

Well, that’s just to get you started. If you’re having trouble, give us a call and we’ll devise a specific strategy to fit your individual needs.

It’s been a pleasure meeting so many of you already and I look forward to having the opportunity to serve more of you in the coming days.

Yours in health,
