Cancer Prevention I.Q. Test

Talking about cancer isn’t exactly everyone’s favorite topic, certainly not mine. It’s scary. We’ve all seen people we love get the disease. I’ve seen it bring some pretty strong people to their knees. We can’t pretend its not a threat any longer. We’re all at risk of getting cancer. That’s a fact. However, its also true that we can immediately and profoundly reduce our risk today. Answer these questions to find out how you are doing. If you answer “yes” to most of them, great job! You’re probably safe. If you answered “no” to most, dont panic! Just start making changes right away. You cannot afford to put this off.

1. Have you had your home tested for radon?

2. Do you eat a minimum of five servings of fresh produce per day?

3. Do you exercise at least 30 minutes per day?

4. Do you consciously avoid 2nd and 3rd hand cigarette smoke?

5. Do you make efforts to minimize use of all synthetic drugs?

6. Do you have an active social and spiritual life?

7. Do you have at least 15-20 houseplants in your house?

8. Do you maintain your weight to a BMI of 25 or lower, or monitor your body fat percentage?

9. Do you avoid processed or deep fried food?

10. Do you realize that you are in control of and responsible for your health?

It doesnt take that much work to reduce your risk. If you have had cancer or are currently afflicted, the steps to reduce risk also apply to you. I have had the opportunity to give an hour lecture on this subject, and would be happy to talk to a group you belong to. Just call the office and we’ll arrange something.

Yours in health,
