Gratitude

As many of you know, Nancy, one of the key cogs in the KMHC wheel, had rotator cuff surgery. She’s been out for a couple of weeks. Yesterday, she stopped in the office to say hello, arm in a sling, and a big smile on her face. She wants to come back to work!

All of a sudden it dawned on me, I am so lucky to have all of the people around me that I do. I’ve never been ‘the boss’ anywhere else but KMHC, but I am certain that most offices don’t have the kind of dedicated staff that I have the pleasure of working with. In twenty-two years, I’ve never, not once, had to be involved with who’s going to cover for whom, when someone goes down with illness, injury, family emergencies, etc.

Beyond that though, I always look forward to coming into the office, partly because I simply love what I do, but it’s also because I have such a fun ‘family’ to hang out with every day.

So, to my staff, my great business partner Mike Aehl, and all the other people who make KMHC run, thank you so very much! One of those people happens to be my mother, who has been the proofreader for all of the content in my newsletters and website. You’re awesome, Mom!
